Belleville Bulls News Release
BELLEVILLE, ON - After a successful inaugural season of Spring Hockey Development in 2011, the Belleville Bulls Hockey Club is pleased to unveil it's program for the spring of 2012 and looks forward to continual development of young players in the Quinte region. Back are all three components of the spring package, including the popular 3 on 3 Spring Showdown, well attended Pre-Tryout Conditioning Camps and a regular fixture in the Bulls Hockey Development program year round, the Goaltender Academy led by team Goaltending Instructor Sebastien Farrese. The Bulls are also excited about the prospect of extending their programs into the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre's new facilities.
3 on 3 Spring Showdown
There are subtle changes in the program this spring, one being an added division to the 3 on 3 Spring Showdown that will now include Tyke and Novice aged players. The program will run from April 1st through May 17th with ice on Tuesday and Thursday nights between 6pm and 8pm. Players born from 2000-2005 are eligible to register and can do so by visiting www.bellevillebulls.com/springshowdown.
Pre-Tryout Conditioning Camps
1) Elite Pre-Tryout Conditioning Camp - Elite players looking to take their game to the next level should check this camp out. Led by former OHL Rookie of the Year Chris Longo, players will get a good workout and be ready for AAA tryouts that follow shortly after the conclusion of the camp. This camp will run on April 1st, 7th and 14th for players born from 1995-2003. For more information, visit www.bellevillebulls.com/conditioningcamp.
2) Pre-Tryout Conditioning Camp - Those players from BMHA or surrounding minor hockey associations should consider attending this camp that prepares skaters and interested goaltenders for the physical tests of upcoming tryouts. Players born between 1995-2005 can attend this camp. Tyke/Novice aged players will receive two hours of on-ice instruction while older players will receive two 90-minute on-ice sessions.
