Fisher Cats Unveil 2012 Promotional Schedule

Manchester, NH - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A Affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, unveiled the list of promotions for the upcoming 2012 season. In addition to 30 Atlas Fireworks shows, the new season features celebrations of the 2011 Eastern League Championship, several unique giveaways, and a total of 15 match-ups against the Fisher Cats rival and Boston Red Sox affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs.

"Our staff has put together a full season of exciting promotions for our fans," said Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner. "This schedule has something for everyone in the family and ensures that the Fisher Cats remain New Hampshire's best entertainment value."

The 2012 season begins with the first of 30 Atlas Fireworks shows on Opening Day, Thursday, April 12. The first 2,500 fans will receive a 2012 Magnet Schedule presented by Elliot Urgent Care at River's Edge. Opening Day also celebrates the Fisher Cats second league title earned in September of 2011. The festivities mark a season full of special championship commemorations including an Eastern League Championship T-Shirt presented by FairPoint Communications on May 23 and an Eastern League Championship Canvas on August 5 courtesy of U.S. Cellular.

The opening home stand also features the return of Rock 101 and The Morning Buzz All-You-Can-Eat Days. On Saturday, April 14, and Saturday, April 28, fans can enjoy all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, and nachos with the purchase of any $12 or $14 ticket.

Returning title-winning manager Sal Fasano headlines the complimentary giveaway items for fans in 2012. On June 24, 1,500 fans will receive a Sal Fasano Bobble-Stache collectible presented by Northeast Delta Dental. Later in the season, on August 19, a Carlton Fisk Bobblehead awaits the first 1,500 fans on August 19 courtesy of Quirk Chevrolet Buick GMC Volkswagen.

Additional giveaways this season include a Fisher Cats Irish Cap presented by Coca-Cola on May 19. The following day the first 2,500 fans will receive a Fisher Cats Player Poster courtesy of Spectrum Marketing Companies. After the game, all fans can enjoy a player autograph session. On June 6, Mt. Washington Assurance presents a Fisher Cats Rally Cap giveaway for 1,500 fans. Ollie, the Fisher Cats Bat Dog, will be featured in giveaways with a Coin Bank (First 1,000 kids) presented by Northeast Delta Dental on July 8 and a T-Shirt for the first 1,000 fans courtesy of Dead River Company on August 28. Select dates will feature giveaways for kids, including a pair of Kids Jerseys for the first 1,000 kids (May 12 - Northeast Delta Dental; June 20 - POWERADE).

The Portland Sea Dogs make the first of four trips to Northeast Delta Dental Stadium in May, featuring the future stars of the Boston Red Sox. The four-game series from May 21-24 is followed by a pair of visits in July and a season-ending four-game set from August 27-30.

Student achievers will be honored for a host of games at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. On five dates (4/15, 4/29, 5/21, 6/5, 6/19), students who participated in the Fisher Cats Reading Challenge presented by the Community College System of New Hampshire will be honored in a special pre-game ceremony. Academic All-Stars will be recognized at a series of games by U.S. Cellular (4/17, 5/1, 5/20, 6/6, 6/10, 6/25).

On July 4, the Fisher Cats host a 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza to begin a celebration of America's Independence. Two more season-long promotions are also back for 2012. Fans can participate in USA Subs Baseball Bingo at every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday game. After every Sunday day game (weather permitting), kids can run the bases like their favorite Fisher Cats courtesy of the Buyers Beware Program.

Single-game tickets are already on sale for April and May games online by visiting www.nhfishercats.com. Tickets for all Fisher Cats games will be made available in-person, by phone, and by internet on Thursday, March 1.
