Saturday, March 24 Is Annual Knights Fest

(Fort Mill, SC) - The annual Knights Fest, which features fan batting practice, stadium tours, amusement games, free snacks, and more, will be held on Saturday, March 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Knights Stadium. Following Knights Fest this year will be a game at 1:30 p.m. featuring the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department against the Chicago Police Department. Both events are free of charge and the CMPD will be selling raffle tickets with all proceeds to benefit local charities.

Knights Fest will officially kick-off with National Anthem auditions at 10:00 a.m. and for one full-hour, the club will be on-the-lookout for talented singers to perform the National Anthem at a 2012 Knights game. The Knights Team Store will open at 10:00 a.m. for fans interested in doing their pre-season shopping.

Fans will also have the chance to take some swings like their favorite Knights players during a fan batting practice session. Participants must sign-up at Knights Fest and must be at least eight years old to participate.

Also, as part of the day's festivities, fans will have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at Knights Stadium, as the club will conduct stadium tours at 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The Picnic Pavilion will offer free snacks from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Timeline of Events

- 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. - National Anthem Auditions

- 10:00 a.m. - Team Store and Amusement Games open

- 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Fan Batting Practice - - 11:00 a.m. - Stadium Tour #1 - Participants must sign-up at Knights Fest and space is limited for both tours.

- 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Picnic Pavilion open for free snacks

- 12:00 p.m. - Stadium Tour #2

- 1:00 p.m. - Concession stand open for game

- 1:30 p.m. - Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department vs. the Chicago Police Department
