Mississippi RiverKings News Release

Southaven, Miss. - The Mississippi RiverKings goaltender Scott Darling has been called up by Charlotte of the American Hockey League. Terms and conditions were not released.

"We're obviously very happy for Scott," RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser said. "This will be a great experience for him and a call-up like this looks very good on our organization and our league."

Darling has been called up to "AA" hockey twice this season as he has had stints with Florida (ECHL) and, more recently, Wichita (CHL). This will be his first call-up to the AHL.

In 18 appearances with the RiverKings this season, Darling is 7-11-1 with a 3.14 goals against average and an 89.5 save percentage.

The RiverKings return to the Landers Center on Friday, February 3 for Belhaven University Faith and Family Night. Along with the Faith and Family festivities, the nationally recognized Zooperstars! will perform during the first intermission. You do not want to miss this night of family entertainment.
