Suns to Host Hot Stove League Social

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns announced today they will host their annual Hot Stove League Social on --Friday, January 27th from 6 - 9pm at the Baseball Grounds. At this year's Hot Stove League Social the Suns are pleased to have special guest from the Miami Marlins, baseball legend Jack McKeon, along with new Marlin's farm director Marty Scott.

A former manager of the Royals, Athletics, Padres, Reds and most recently the 2011 Marlins, McKeon has been involved in Major League Baseball for over 40 years. He was twice named National League Manager of the Year in 1999 and 2003, and led the Marlins to a World Series Title in 2003. The Suns are excited to also have the new Marlins Vice President of Player Development Marty Scott appearing. Scott has spent 34 years in professional baseball and was the Director of Player Development for the Texas Rangers from 1985-1994.

The Suns' new broadcaster Steve Kolbe will also be in attendance and will be available to meet fans and any media requests also.

Parking is available in Lot P, located between the Baseball Grounds and Everbank Field. Entrance to Lot P is located at the Adams St. and Georgia St. intersection.

The Jacksonville Suns open at the 2012 season at the Baseball Grounds on Thursday April 5. The Suns are the Double-A Affiliate of the Miami Marlins and are proud members of the Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs.
