
Bruins Drop Game to Alexandria 2-1

The Austin Bruins wrapped up the weekend with a road game in Alexandria to face off against the third place Alexandria Blizzard. The Bruins entered action this Sunday in second place in the central division. The first period the Bruins trailed 1-0 after being outshot 20-8. The second frame the Matt Hansen scored his first goal of his Bruins career assisting was Austin Nelson and Connor Quinn. The Blizzard regained the lead 2-1 less than a minute later. At the end of two periods of play the Bruins were outshot 36-17. The final frame the Bruins continued to battle but could not solve Jake Myers. Blizzard won the game 2-1. The Bruins hit the road next weekend as they will take on the 1st place Bismarck Bobcats. Check out the broadcast at Fast Hockey.com and AM 1480 KAUS.
