BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with Magic 101.7 have announced that they will host the annual "Teddy Bear Toss" at the B-Sens game versus the Norfolk Admirals on Friday, Dec. 9 at 7:05 p.m.
Fans are asked to bring new teddy bears or stuffed animals to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena and toss them onto the ice immediately following the B-Sens' first goal scored in the game.
The stuffed animals will then be collected by members of the Southern Tier Young Professionals, Magic 101.7 and the Binghamton Senators staff and then donated to Magic 101.7's Bears and Blankets program.
Magic 101.7's Tejay Schwartz and Lisa Marie along with reigning American Hockey League MVP Corey Locke and other Binghamton Senators players will then team up to deliver the stuffed animals to children in local hospitals, as well as other children in need throughout the Greater Binghamton area.
This is the fourth season the Binghamton Senators have assisted Magic 101.7 in collecting donations for their Bears & Blankets program. In those four seasons Magic 101.7 has distributed over 10,000 stuffed animals and blankets to local hospitals and charities.
