Waterloo Black Hawks News Release
Each Monday, the Waterloo Black Hawks Players of the Week are selected by the team's coaches and staff and posted on waterlooblackhawks.com. They are listed below:
Mulligan's Offensive Player of the Week - Tyler Sheehy
Making his United States Hockey League debut Saturday, Sheehy put four shots on goal for Waterloo.
Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week - Eamon McAdam
Although he suffered the loss, McAdam was the Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week for following up a spectacular headlong save in the first period by turning away a breakaway in the second Saturday.
UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker - Jake Horton
With Waterloo missing several centermen over the weekend, Horton had extra shifts for the Hawks against Green Bay.
Convenient Care Heart of the Week - Kyle Schmidt
One of three affiliate players on the Waterloo roster, Schmidt helped to fill the void with 7 players missing due to injury or while participating at the World Jr. A Challenge.
