Senators Reassign Forward Nikita Filatov to Binghamton

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 13, 2011) - The Ottawa Senators announced today they have reassigned forward Nikita Filatov to the team's American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Filatov, 21, has recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in two regular-season games this season with the Senators. In 46 career National Hockey League games, he has recorded six goals and eight assists for 14 points.

The Moscow native was acquired June 25 by the Senators from the Columbus Blue Jackets for a third-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.

The B-Sens (0-2-0) next see action on Friday, when they host the Syracuse Crunch. Ottawa will oppose the Colorado Avalanche tonight at Scotiabank Place at 7:30 p.m.
