Leo Lyons, Lance Thomas Return for Austin Toros 2011-12 Season

Austin, TX - The Austin Toros today announced that forwards Leo Lyons and Lance Thomas will be returning to the Toros for the 2011-12 season.

Lyons, 6'9 forward out of Missouri, started in 27 of the 34 games he appeared in for the Toros last season. He scored 48% of his shots while averaging 14.9 points per game and six rebounds. Lyons is known for his versatility on offense, making outside shots with ease and finishing at the basket with either hand.

Thomas, 6'8 forward out of Duke, started in all 46 games he appeared in last season averaging 12.8 points per game and 5.5 rebounds. Thomas was the starting forward on the Duke 2010 National Championship Team and is tenth on Duke's career offensive rebound leader board with 255 rebounds.

Both Thomas and Lyons have accepted invitations to attend the USA basketball team's Pan American Games training camp. With only twelve roster spots available, Thomas and Lyons look to make the most of training camp which is scheduled for Oct. 14-22. The Pan American games are being held in Guadalajara, Mexico from Oct. 26-30.
