2011 Mad Ants Open Tryouts Announced

Fort Wayne, IN., August 25, 2011 - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that the local player open tryouts for the 2011-2012 season will be held on Saturday, October 22nd and Sunday, October 23rd 2011. They will be held at Wambsganss Gymnasium on the Concordia Theological Seminary campus located at 6600 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN, 46825. Check-in and late registration will begin at 9:00 am with tryouts beginning promptly at 10:00am.
The Mad Ants local player tryouts offer athletes an opportunity to showcase their talents in front of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants' coaching staff, including head coach Joey Meyer. Players will compete to earn an invitation to the team's training camp, which will begin in early November.
A total of nine players from the first four seasons found a spot on the Mad Ants roster by way of open tryouts.
Applicants can pre-register by submitting the official registration, disclosure and release forms, in addition to a $150 non-refundable fee by October 20, 2011. The fee for day of registration will be $200. Payments must be made by money order or cashier's check. Application forms are available at www.fortwaynehoops.com.
