Louisiana IceGators News Release
The Louisiana IceGators have announced the signing of Center Brayden Metz for the 2011-2012 season. The 21 year old is a native of Regina, Saskatchewan. This past season was a career high for Metz, scoring 25 goals and 48 assists for 73 points on the season, while playing for Melville and Melfort of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League.
At 6ft, 185 pounds, Metz comes highly recommended by Head Scout Rob Fiola of Melville Millionaires. Coach Kevin Kaminski feels, "Brayden is good on faceoffs, blocking shots and penalty killing. He also has a nifty touch around the net to score and make the pass to his teammates. He will bring a hardnosed in your face style of hockey and has good size. We look for him to bring us depth in all aspects of the game."
