Breakers Trade Draft Pick to Sky Blue FC for Kiersten DallstreamApril 27, 2011 - Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) - Boston Breakers Press Release
"Kiersten Dallstream was one of my world champions from the (2008) U-20 World Cup team that played and won in Chile," Boston Head Coach Tony DiCicco said. "I thought she had an excellent rookie season last year with Sky Blue after being a first round draft pick in the 2010 draft. Kiersten can play up top, in the midfield wide or centrally, and can also fill in at outside back. I am delighted to have the opportunity to coach her again, and I think she will compete for a starting position on our team."
Dallstream will join a number of her former U-20 teammates when she arrives in Boston, a group that includes midfielders Keelin Winters and Nikki Washington, defender Elli Reed, and keeper Alyssa Naeher. Dallstream played for Washington State University, where she ranks third on the school's all-time scoring list. She was the ninth overall pick in the 2010 WPS Draft, selected by the Los Angeles Sol, and when the Sol folded, Dallstream was selected by Sky Blue FC in the 2010 Dispersal Draft. Dallstream, whose 2010 season was cut short by injury, made six starts in 12 games while adding an assist.
