Wisconsin Timber Rattlers News Release
GRAND CHUTE, WI - Manny Parra's journey back to the Major League roster of the Milwaukee Brewers starts on Saturday afternoon at Time Warner Cable Field. The Brewers have announced that Parra would work in relief when the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers face the Kane County Cougars at 1:05pm on April 9.
Parra is working his way back from a facet joint injury in his back that occurred during Spring Training. Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported on the Brewer Blog that: Parra...threw 37 pitches in a simulated game and had no setbacks.
In that same blog post, Rosiak noted that Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said of Parra, "He looked good. Kind of simulated two innings for him, and he threw the ball good. He said he felt good."
Tickets for Saturday's game are available at the Time Warner Cable Field Box Office, by calling (800) WI-TIMBER, or on timberrattlers.com.
