
SPHL Names All-Rookie Team

Pensacola Ice Flyers News Release
Pensacola, FL- The Southern Professional Hockey League announced its 2010-2011 All-Rookie Team today and two familiar names to fans in Pensacola graced the list. Ice Flyers Forward Chris Wilson and Defenseman Dan Ehrman were both among the six players honored.
Chris Wilson joins Neil Graham and Branden Kosolofsky, both of the Augusta RiverHawks, at Forward on the squad. Dan is joined by fellow blue-liner Omar Pacha from the Huntsville Havoc. The RiverHawks had three newcomers honored, the Ice Flyers had two, and Huntsville had one.
Coach Todd Gordon commented, "We are very happy for both these young players. They have come in and worked hard all year long. I really could not have been happier; they both truly deserved this recognition."

CHARLOTTE, NC - The Southern Professional Hockey League on Thursday announced its 2010-2011 All-Rookie Team as selected by a vote of SPHL coaches and media representatives.

F - Neil Graham, Augusta RiverHawks (46 gp, 22 g, 28 a, 50 pts, 6 gwg, +16)
F - Branden Kosolofsky, Augusta RiverHawks (52 gp, 17 g, 31 a, 48 pts, 5 gwg, +13)
D - Omar Pacha, Huntsville Havoc (53 gp, 7 g, 26 a, 33 pts, 11 ppa, +10)
D - Dan Ehrman, Pensacola Ice Flyers (51 gp, 7 g, 22 a, 29 pts, 11 ppa)
G - Jon Olthuis, Augusta RiverHawks (28 gp, 18-9, 2 so, 2.73 gaa, .914 save%)
Chris Wilson
of the Pensacola Ice Flyers currently leads the SPHL in goals (37), game-winning goals (8) and shorthanded goals (4 - tied), while his 66 points rank him third overall. Wilson also ranks second among rookies with 29 assists and eight power-play goals.
Neil Graham
of the Augusta RiverHawks leads all first-year players with a +16 rating (tied with Mississippi's Rusty Masters), is second in points (50) and game-winning goals (6) and is third in goals (22) and assists (28).
Graham's +16 rating is tied for second-best in the entire SPHL, while his six game-winning goals tie him for third overall. Graham was twice loaned to the ECHL, playing a total of 10 games for the Greenville Road Warriors and the South Carolina Stingrays.
Branden Kosolofsky
of the Augusta RiverHawks leads all SPHL rookies with 31 assists and ranks third in points (48) and game-winning goals (5). Kosolofsky's +13 rating and nine power-play assists are both third best among first-year players, while he ranks fourth in rookie penalty minutes with 120.
Omar Pacha
of the Huntsville Havoc is third among all SPHL defensemen with seven goals and 33 points, while his 26 assists and +10 rating are both fourth best among blue-liners. Pacha's 11 assists on the power play tie him for first among rookies with fellow selection Dan Ehrman.
Dan Ehrman
of the Pensacola Ice Flyers ranks third among all blue-liners with with seven goals, while his 29 points are sixth best. Ehrman's 11 power-play assists also lead SPHL rookies (with Huntsville's Omar Pacha).
Jon Olthuis
of the Augusta RiverHawks leads all SPHL goaltenders with 18 wins and is third in the league with two shutouts. Olthuis' .914 save percentage ranks fourth among all netminders, while his goals against average of 2.73 is fifth best. Olthuis also played two games in the Central Hockey League this season, going 0-1-1 for the Dayton Gems.
The SPHL will announce its First-Team All-SPHL and Second-Team All-SPHL rosters on Friday.
