December 1, 2010 - ECHL (ECHL)
Alaska Aces News Release

Alaska Aces rookie forward, Ethan Cox has returned to the Aces from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League, after being loaned late last week. Cox played in two games for Portland during his call up, and rejoins the Aces for a three-game set in Idaho beginning Thursday. The trio of games concludes their season-long road trip. The Aces will return to the Sullivan Arena on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 8th and 9th to host the Victoria Salmon Kings. For more information, please call the Aces at 907.258.ACES or visit them online at www.alaskaaces.com.

Cox, 23, had one assist in two games for the Pirates, accounting for his first AHL point. This was the first call up for the rookie out of Colgate University. Coupled with his week with the Aces, Cox wound up playing four games in five nights, in four different cities, at the tail end of last week. The Pirates went 1-1 with Cox in the lineup, and his assist came as part of a 5-1 victory in Providence on Sunday. Cox has two goals and two assists with the Aces this season. He became the fifth Aces player this season to play in the AHL. The others were defensemen Daryl Boyle, Steve Ward, and Chad Anderson, and goaltender Alex Petizian, who also played for Portland.

The Aces will conclude their eight-game road trip with three games in Idaho on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The Aces will return home to host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Wednesday, December 8th. For more information, please call the Aces at 907.258.ACES or visit them online at www.alaskaaces.com.
