Everblades D-Man Lawson Reassigned from AHL

ESTERO, FL- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that defenseman Kyle Lawson has be reassigned to the team by the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League.

Lawson, who was recalled on November 27, saw action in two games with the Checkers in his first action in the AHL this season.

The 23-year-old returns to the Everblades where he has skated in 16 games this season picking up four assists and eight penalty minutes. Lawson is in his first full professional season although he did make his pro debut in 2009-10 playing in 10 games with the Albany River Rats of the AHL where he tallied one assist.

Prior to joining the pro ranks the New Hudson, Michigan native spent four years at the collegiate level at the University of Notre Dame where he had 90 points in 161 games during his four years.

The Everblades also announced today that forward Mike Kennedy has been placed on the 3-day injured reserve list. Kennedy has played in 12 games this season notching five points (1g, 4a).
