66ers Gear up for Preseason Games this Weekend

TULSA, Okla., Nov. 11, 2010 - The Tulsa 66ers will participate in two preseason games this weekend in Frisco, Texas when they take on the Texas Legends on Friday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m., followed by a contest with the Austin Toros on Saturday, Nov. 13 at 1 p.m.
Both games will be played at Fieldhouse USA in Frisco, located at 6155 Sports Village Road, 75035.
"As a coach, I want our team to be ready and focused to take advantage of these opportunities," Tulsa head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "Our team will compete and I know our guys will be excited to play. Our goal is to get better as a team this weekend."
This season marks the first in the D-League for the Texas Legends, led by head coach Nancy Lieberman. Previously known as the Colorado 14ers, Texas will play in Frisco and is scheduled to match up with the 66ers eight times this season.
Tulsa faced Austin five times during the 2009-10 season and finished with a 3-2 record. The Toros will be led in 2010-11 by first year head coach Brad Jones.
The 66ers open their season on the road with back-to-back contests against the Bakersfield Jam on Nov. 19th and 20th. Tulsa's home-opener is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 26 against Iowa. For ticket information and purchases call (918) 585-8444.
