Red Sox Hall of Famer Bill Monbouquette and Former Fisher Cats Pitcher Tim Collins to Attend Basebal

MANCHESTER - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, are pleased to announce that Red Sox Hall of Famer Bill Monbouquette and former Fisher Cats pitcher and Worcester native Tim Collins will be attending the Saturday, November 20, Granite State Baseball Dinner, presented by Northeast Delta Dental. Monbouquette and Collins will be joining Red Sox outfielder Daniel Nava, NH native and St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Chris Carpenter, the first Major League designated hitter Ron Blomberg, Boxing Hall of Famer Angelo Dundee and many more at the head table for the charitable event.

Monbouquette was the ace of the Boston Red Sox pitching staff in the early 1960's with a career-high 20 victories in 1963. A four time All-Star, Monbouquette pitched a no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox in 1962. Monbouquette also set a club record for the Red Sox with a 17 strikeout-game in 1961.

Collins, a Worcester, MA native,pitched for the Fisher Cats for part of the 2009 and 2010 seasons. This year with the Fisher Cats Collins posted a 2.51 ERA with 73 strikeouts in 43 innings pitched and also recorded 9 saves for the team. Collins finished the season with the Omaha Royals (Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) and was named as a Baseball America Minor League All-Star. Collins has a career ERA of 2.26 over his four seasons in the minor leagues.

Tickets to the dinner are $75 per person and include dinner, a silent auction and an autograph session with the night's special guests.
