
Sundogs to Retire Bartolone's No. 29 on Friday, October 29

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - The Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League announced today that the organization will officially retire No. 29 in honor of former captain and current assistant coach Chris Bartolone on 'Chris Bartolone Night' Friday, Oct. 29 at Tim's Toyota Center.
The club will raise Bartolone's No. 29 in a special ceremony prior to the team's game against the visiting Texas Brahmas.
"It's appropriate and deserving that we celebrate and honor Chris Bartolone and his number 29 on the 29th of October," said Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro. "It will be a tremendous event for our Club and its fans."
"His numbers and accomplishments speak for themselves," added Pietroniro. "He's been the face of the franchise since its inception and his impact on this team deserve the utmost respect and recognition. By retiring number 29, we're paying Chris one of the greatest respects in all of professional sports."
The first 2,000 fans through the doors of Tim's Toyota Center on Friday, Oct. 29 will receive a mini satin replica Chris Bartolone No. 29 jersey banner, courtesy of Gabby's and Blondie's Kitchen.
The team will also have limited edition Chris Bartolone merchandise available for sale in the Arizona Sundogs Team Store to commemorate the evening.
Bartolone's No. 29 becomes the second sweater number to be retired in the four-year history of the Arizona Sundogs, joining the No. 6 of former player and Assistant Coach Dan Laperriere.
