Springfield Armor to Host Second Armorette Dance Team Audition Sunday, October 3rd

SPRINGFIELD, MA (September 17, 2010) - The Springfield Armor will be holding their second Armorette dance team audition Sunday, October 3rd, 2010 at the Future Star Performance Academy in West Springfield located at 1700 Riverdale Road, West Springfield, MA 01089. Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. and auditions will commence at 6:30 p.m.
This is the second of two auditions for the official Springfield Armor Dance Team and will be open to the public. The dance team will perform at all 24 home games during the 2010-2011 season and will be involved in on court promotions as well as make several community appearances throughout the year.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and must be a high school graduate or have received a G.E.D. Potential dancers must be fun, outgoing and spirited individuals who are in good physical shape, have a clean appearance, and an overall crowd appeal.
Interested dancers can register in advance or on the day of the audition. Registration forms and additional audition information can be found on the Armor website (www.armorhoops.com) or by visiting the Armor office. Advance registrations can be submitted in person at the Armor offices located at 1 Monarch Place, Suite 220, Springfield, MA 01144 or by fax to (413)746-3262. A $25 non-refundable audition fee and a recent, non-returnable, full length photo are required with registration. Registration on the day of the audition begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Future Star Dance Academy.
All dancers are required to wear dance shoes (jazz shoes, dance shoes or athletic shoes with minimal tread and non-marking soles) to the audition, as well as a 2-piece attire as outlined in the audition information page listed on the website.
