
Redbirds Repeat as American Northern Division Champs

MEMPHIS, TN - The Memphis Redbirds are heading to the playoffs for the second consecutive year for the first time in team history. The Redbirds defeated the Iowa Cubs in Des Moines on Monday afternoon with a 9th inning home run from Mark Hamilton to punch their ticket to the postseason. Memphis will take on the American Southern Division Champion Oklahoma City Redhawks Wednesday and Thursday at AutoZone Park, both games start at 7:05pm.
The Redbirds are celebrating this back-to-back accomplishment by offering Buy One Get One Free tickets to all playoff games. In addition, all fans that put down a deposit for 2011 Season Tickets will receive their 2010 playoff tickets for free. Also, fans can purchase a special ticket package that includes a 2-hour buffet (6pm-8pm) and club level ticket for $25 both online and at the AutoZone Park box office.
The Redbirds want to make sure that the Memphis fan base has healthy backs on their quest for back-to-back championships. Johnson Family Chiropractic will be located in the plaza before each game to talk to fans with back issues and give advice for maintaining a healthy back. Fans can show their Redbird pride by teaming up with a friend in the first four innings and stand back-to-back. If the pair stands with their backs touching each other from the first pitch to the final out of the 4th inning, the pair will receive ticket vouchers to the 2011 regular season. Fans interested in participating can go to the Fans First table before the game starts.
