LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. - For the first time in franchise history, the Storm lead the California League in attendance. As a thank you to the fans that made that possible, the Storm are offering $5 tickets for all home playoff games this season. The Storm ended the regular season with 217,826 fans and were the only team in the league to average over 3,000 per game fans with 3,203.
The California League Playoffs begin on Wednesday, September 8 when the Quakes take on the Mavericks in a best of three series. The winner of that matchup will take on the Storm in the Southern Division Finals beginning on Saturday, September 11 at The Diamond in Lake Elsinore. Game 1 will begin at 7:05pm and will include a pre-game scooter demo, performed by Pro-Ride Scooters, in parking lot C outside the stadium. There will also be post-game fireworks for all fans to enjoy. Game 2 is scheduled for 5:05pm on Sunday, September 12 with a Storm t-shirt giveaway, to the first 1500 fans, presented by All-Star Promotions and Coca Cola and $1 beers and sodas through the 7th inning or 9 pm.
The Storm ended the regular season with the best record in the California League. The team went 81-59 to tie the second best franchise record for wins in a season.
