Snakes Announce Exhibition Game, Changes to Schedule

The Columbus Cottonmouths have made revisions to their previously released 2010-11 game schedule. Conflicts with travel schedules and building availability among several teams forced the SPHL to make numerous changes to each team's schedule.

Most of the changes are in opponents rather than dates, however the Snakes home game originally scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 30 has been moved to Friday, March 18. In addition, four road games have been moved.

The Snakes now face the Knoxville Ice Bears six times, Pensacola Ice Flyers seven times, Augusta RiverHawks, Fayetteville FireAntz and Huntsville Havoc eight times each, the Louisiana IceGators nine times and Mississippi Surge ten times.

Columbus will play a pair of exhibition games prior to the season opener. On Friday, Oct. 15, they host the Pensacola Ice Flyers at the Snake Pit at 7:30 p.m. All tickets are $5 and will be general admission, first come, first serve seating. On Saturday, Oct. 16, the Snakes will travel to Mississippi to face the Surge in exhibition. The Snakes kickoff the regular season at home, Friday, Oct. 22 against the Ice Flyers.

Season tickets are on sale now, and individual game tickets so go on sale to the public Monday, Oct. 4. Eight and 15-game mini packs are also available through the Snakes office, starting at just $88.
