Boulerice Is Back

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have re-signed right wing Jesse Boulerice to an American Hockey League contract, it was announced on Friday.
Boulerice returns to northeastern Pennsylvania after appearing in 54 regular-season games last year. He posted seven points (4G, 3A), matching his AHL career high for goals in a season. He finished second on the Penguins in recording 124 penalty minutes.
While appearing in 328 career AHL games with Philadelphia, Lowell, Albany, Lake Erie, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, the 6-2, 210-lb. native of Plattsburgh, New York has amassed 1,065 penalty minutes, including a single-season high 256 with the 2000-01 Philadelphia Phantoms.
Boulerice is also no stranger to the NHL, logging 172 games as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, St. Louis Blues, and Edmonton Oilers. The rugged forward accumulated 10 points (8G, 2A) and 333 penalty minutes.
Boulerice was originally selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the fifth round (133rd overall) of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft.
PENS-FEST 2010 COMING ON AUGUST 20
The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be hosting a night of free family fun on Friday, August 20, when PENS-FEST 2010 takes place at the new Ice Rink at Coal Street Park.
PENS-FEST 2010 will feature outdoor games and activities, face painters, entertainment, a visit from team mascot Tux, and autograph sessions featuring current and former Penguins players.
Additionally, a pair of FREE public skating sessions will be held at the Ice Rink at Coal Street Park. Everyone is welcome to come down and experience the area's newest and coolest spot to lace up the skates for no cost at all (skate rental is also free)!
Penguins fans will also get the first glimpse of the team's 2010-11 alternate jersey, can check out merchandise and equipment in the expanded team pro shop, and will be able to tour the team's new locker room facilities.
The event takes place from 4:00pm-9:00pm, and is free and open to everyone (food and beverages will be available to purchase from the rink's concession stand).
