Port Huron Fighting Falcons News Release
The Port Huron Fighting Falcons of the North American Hockey League today announced the availability of season tickets for their inaugural campaign at McMorran Arena.
Two season ticket packages are available for the Fighting Falcons inaugural season. The Center Ice package includes a ticket to each of Port Huron's 27 home games in sections 9-12 and 21-24 for just $216. The Center Ice package gives fans the best views of the action at a savings of over $50 per seat over the course of the season.
The Attack Zone package is available for just $162, and includes all other sections at McMorran Arena. A $50 deposit for each seat in either package is required to ensure that the preferred location is held.
The Fighting Falcons will compete for the NAHL's Robertson Cup, the oldest junior hockey trophy in the United States. Port Huron will battle in the NAHL's North division with seven other teams from Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri.
Dozens of current NHL players played junior hockey in the NAHL, including current Detroit Red Wings Jimmy Howard, Brian Rafalski and Patrick Eaves. Ten members of Team USA's silver-medal winning Olympic team have roots in the league as well.
"We're extremely excited to offer Port Huron's hockey fans the opportunity to see the game's future stars this season at McMorran Arena," said Ernie Hickey, who will serve as the Fighting Falcons' head coach, general manager and owner. "We hope to earn the community's support throughout the season, and I think we've created very attractive season ticket packages to bring out the fans."
Fighting Falcons season ticket holders will receive a free program at each game, a $27 value over the course of the season. Season ticket holders will also get up to five free Zamboni rides or birthday and anniversary PA announcements throughout the season, based on availability. Non season ticket holders will be charged $5 for each PA read or Zamboni ride.
The team also announced regular season individual rates. Seats in Center Ice sections will be just $10, and Attack Zone seats are $8 per game. The Fighting Falcons are happy to offer $1 off Attack Zone seats for senior citizens, students and military. In response to concerns of fans from Port Huron's former teams, two Attack Zone sections will be "Horn Free Zones."
Sponsorship opportunities with the Fighting Falcons are available now. Businesses have dozens of options to be seen at McMorran Arena at special rates for the inaugural season. Arena advertising options start as low as $750.
