June 27, 2010 - Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA)
Indiana Fever News Release

- Indiana survived a poor shooting night and scored the game's final six points to secure a 70-64 victory over the Chicago Sky. Indiana won for the ninth time in its last 12 games and ended the Sky's two-game win streak. Indiana beat Chicago for the third time in three tries this season.

- Tamika Catchings hit the second of two free throws with 18.4 seconds remaining to give Indiana a 66-64 lead. Following a timeout, Indiana forced the Sky into a critical five-second violation to take possession again, and Briann January added a pair of free throws with 13.1 seconds remaining. Tammy Sutton-Brown hit a pair of free throws to ice the game with four seconds left.

- January's free throw with 1:04 to play broke a 64-64 deadlock and Sutton-Brown blocked a layup by Sylvia Fowles with 40 seconds to play. Sutton-Brown missed a jumper on the ensuing possession, but Catchings secured the rebound and was fouled with 18.4 remaining.

- While its starters struggled (13 of-41 shooting), the Indiana bench rose the occasion and outscored its starters 41-39. With 10 points off the bench, Jessica Moore became the sixth different Fever reserve to score in double figures this season. Indiana has placed at least one reserve in double digits in 10 of 14 games.

- For Catchings, she scored a season-low four points and snapped a 31-game streak of games with double-figure scoring. She shot 1-of-9 from the floor, scoring a third period 3-pointer for her only points until the late free throw.

- Chicago outrebounded the Fever 37-27 and Fowles had a season-high 17 rebounds, but the U.S. Olympic center was limited to just five shots and 11 points.

- Indiana had its largest lead at 59-49 with 6:25 remaining on a bucket by Shavonte Zellous, but Chicago went on a 19-5 run and knotted the score at 64 on Erin Thorn's fifth 3-pointer with 1:04 to play.

- Indiana led 29-26 at the break and gradually took control in the third quarter, leading by as many as nine and leading 51-45 entering the fourth.
