Steven Richard Joins D-Jaxx Bullpen

JACKSON, TENN. (June 17, 2010) - The Seattle Mariners announced the following roster moves that effects the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx roster. RHP Steven Richard, pronounced, (rih-SHAHRD) has been promoted from High Desert to the Diamond Jaxx, giving West Tenn back 24 players on the active roster.

Richard was 2-3 with a 4.30 ERA in 25 games for the Mavericks, including six saves in 29.1 innings. The 25 year old from Billerica, MA was the 8th round selection by the Mariners in the 2006 draft out of Clemson University. In 2009, Richard appeared in a career high 56 games and saved 13 games

The Diamond Jaxx (38-27) host the Chattanooga Lookouts (30-35) at Pringles Park tonight at 7:05. The Jaxx currently trail the first place Tennessee Smokies by two games with four remaining in the first half. Last night the Diamond Jaxx swept two games from the Lookouts and are 6-0 against Chattanooga this season.
