Idaho Steelheads News Release

(Boise, ID) - Less than a week after the conclusion of the Kelly Cup Finals, the Idaho Steelheads have unveiled their schedule for the 2010-2011 season.

The reigning National Conference champions begin the 72-game slate at home, hosting the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday, October 15.

Stockton, the team that Idaho defeated to win the conference title, makes its only visit to Qwest Arena for a three-game weekend set on November 10, 12, and 13. Alaska, Idaho's long-time rival dating back to when the two teams played in the WCHL, makes two trips to Boise. The first is December 2, 3, and 4 and the second is February 18-19. Both trips have Friday-Saturday home dates.

One scheduling quirk is that the Steelheads don't face the Ontario Reign - the only National Conference team to have a winning record against Idaho last season - until February 1. The two teams then play ten times in the season's final two months.

Idaho will start each of its 36 home games at 7:10 PM.
