Indiana Mad Ants News Release

The Mad Ants announced today that they will host two Junior Mad Ants Basketball Camps for boys and girls in grades 1-12 this summer. The four day camps will be held July 26-29 and August 2-5 at the Concordia Theological Seminary Gymnasium.

These elite camps will give young players the opportunity to receive professional training just like a Mad Ant player. The camp will focus on teaching the very basic fundamental basketball skills while providing a positive and fun environment. Each day will consist of fundamental drills, skill contests, and half court and full court games. Campers will be grouped by age and skill level.

The camps will be led by Mad Ants assistant coach, Steve Gansey. Gansey, a four year collegiate athlete, served as an assistant coach with the USA Under 19 National Team where he worked with current NBA stars Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Michael Beasley (Miami Heat), and Tyreke Evans (Sacramento Kings). For the 2009-2010 Mad Ants, Gansey played a key role in developing the skills of Oliver Lafayette (Boston Celtics), Joe Alexander (Chicago Bulls), and Rob Kurz (Chicago Bulls).

Coach Gansey is also offering individual player development or small group sessions throughout the summer for players or teams serious about taking their game to the next level.
