Published on May 17, 2010 under Central Hockey League (CHL)
Tulsa Oilers News Release
The Tulsa Oilers Ice Girls will have a busy week, and the beneficiaries will be Tulsa area agencies and charitable causes.
On Monday night at the Silver Flame Restaurant (61st and Sheridan) members of the Ice Girls will be celebrity waiters from 5:30-8 p.m. Tips for the Oilers ice Girls will go to benefit the Center for Counseling and Education, a pastoral based counseling service.
Then on Sunday May 23, the Ice Girls will be cleaning up, literally making the Tulsa area shine brighter. The Ice Girls will be holding a car wash at the Oilers Ice Center, located at 64th and Mingo from 3-6 p.m.
"The car wash is going to be a fun way for people to come out and visit with the girls on the squad and get information on trying out for next year's team, all while getting their car washed," Ice Girls coordinator Jessica Barrett said.
The Oilers had the second highest point total increase in the CHL this season under head coach Bruce Ramsay, who was in his first season with the Oilers. They will have 32 home games at the BOK Center in the 2010-11 season.
Season tickets for 2010-11 with plans for as low as $26 a month are now available by calling the Oilers office at 918-632-PUCK (7825).
