
More Than 50,000 Tickets Sold For Mexico Vs. Senegal Match On May 10 In Chicago

CHICAGO, IL (Tuesday, May 4, 2010) - More than 50,000 tickets have been sold for the international soccer match between the World Cup-bound national soccer team of Mexico and its opponent Senegal, scheduled for Monday, May 10 (8 p.m. CT), at Soldier Field in Chicago, IL. Presented by Allstate, the game in the Windy City is one of the stops of the current El Tri tour that will end in Houston on May 13 against Angola prior to Mexico's final send off to South Africa.
Due to strong demand for tickets and for the convenience of soccer fans, Soldier Field Box Office (Gate O) will open extended hours starting today Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Tickets for the game are also available by visiting www.Ticketmaster.com or calling-1-800-745-3000 or at all the usual Ticketmaster locations. The Federación Mexicana de Fútbol encourages its fans to purchase their tickets early by using their Visa cards.
The stadium is urging fans to arrive early to avoid heavy traffic and long lines at the box office. Futbol Fiesta, the 120,000 square feet interactive fan zone will open at 4 p.m. local time on game day and will feature live entertainment, games, autograph sessions by legendary Mexican players, sponsor booths and giveaways.
