
Lindenberg Named MISL Vice Chairman

MILWAUKEE (April 29, 2010) - Milwaukee Wave owner Jim Lindenberg was named vice chairman of the Major Indoor Soccer League's management committee at the league meetings on Chicago on Tuesday.
Lindenberg, who bought the Wave in the summer of 2009, serves the final year of a two-year term originally held by Miguel Garza of La Raza de Monterrey. Garza is no longer with La Raza.
As vice chairman, Lindenberg joins chairman Ed Hale of the Baltimore Blast and MISL Commissioner David Grimaldi to set the league's strategic agenda. Expansion of the league is their primary focus, Lindenberg said.
Lindenberg is a highly respected entrepreneur who founded World Class Wire and Cable in 1994 and quickly built it into an industry leader. The company earned the Future 50 Award, recognizing it as one of the 50 fastest-growing companies in Southeastern Wisconsin, from 1998-2000. In 2007, World Class Wire and Cable was named Waukesha County Business of the Year and one of the Top 5,000 businesses in the United States by Inc. 500 Magazine.
The Milwaukee Wave professional indoor soccer team is the longest-running professional soccer team in the country. The Wave completed their 26th season by winning the Major Indoor Soccer League regular season championship. Their summer camp program is the largest team-operated program in the country.
