
Stephen Silas Invited to NHL Scouting Combine

Belleville Bulls defenceman Stephen Silas is one of 100 players who have been invited to participate in the 2010 NHL Scouting Combine being held May 24-29 in Toronto. The top players eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft are invited to the event. The combine is an opportunity for teams to meet and interview prospects, as well as see them tested in an off-ice setting. The 2010 NHL Entry Draft is being held June 25-26 in Los Angeles.
Silas was rated 51st in the NHL Central Scouting Midterm North American rankings and also participated in the 2010 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. The Georgetown, Ontario native finished second in Bulls team scoring this season after recording four goals and 45 assists in 66 games played. Silas was Belleville's first round pick in the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.
