Everblades Pink in the Rink Welcomes Sellout Crowd

ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades second edition of Pink in the Rink last Saturday night was a smashing success. The Everblades welcomed a sellout crowd of 7,270 fans to see the Everblades 4-3 shootout win over Kalamazoo.

The Florida Everblades also raised over $20,000 from the jersey auction at the conclusion of the game. Proceeds from the auctions went to benefit the Cancer Alliance of Naples and the American Cancer Society's Cape Coral Relay for Life and other local charities. #15 Mathieu Roy's jersey sold for $2,200, while #20 Ryan Lang and #7 Milan Gajic's each sold for $1,250 each.

Everblades president and general manager Craig Brush said he was elated with the support, "It is very gratifying to see the support from Everblades fans during these difficult economic times. The tremendous response to the jersey auction highlights, once again, the generosity of the people of Southwest Florida.

Everblades Hockey...Serious Hockey...SERIOUS FUN! The Florida Everblades return to home ice on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to battle the South Carolina Stingrays. The South Division powers will drop the puck at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday February 28 at Germain Arena as well. Tickets can be purchased by stopping by the T.I.B.
