Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League, today announced that forward Yannick Riendeau ["ree EHN doe"] has been re-assigned by the Boston Bruins from the Royals to the Providence Bruins of the AHL. In separate transactions previously completed, the Royals released Shane Davis as the team's Emergency Back-Up goaltender on February 21, 2010; and Reading re-signed him as the team's EBG on February 22, 2010. Riendeau, a first year pro from Boucherville, Quebec, played three games with the Royals and scored two goals and picked up an assist (three points), which included his first pro goal in his first game with Reading on February 14, 2010 against the Wheeling Nailers. Davis played 3:22 late in the second period in Reading's 8-3 loss to the Elmira Jackals last Friday night, allowing two goals on six shots.

The Royals are off until Friday night (February 26, 2010 @ 7:05 pm) when the Wheeling Nailers travel to the Sovereign Center. The Royals game night broadcast on the Royals Radio Network presented by Transmissions by Arbogast will kick off with the pre-game warm-up show at 6:35 pm.
