FLINT, Mich. - Jamie Carroll scored his second goal of the game with 45 seconds remaining in overtime to rally the Bloomington PrairieThunder to a 5-4 victory over Flint in International Hockey League action before 3,189 people Friday at Perani Arena.

The win moved the PrairieThunder record to 17-14-2-4 (40 points) and secured its hold on fourth place in the standings. It also was the first triumph in seven games that went beyond regulation time. Bloomington is 1-2 in overtime games and winless in four shootouts.

The PrairieThunder returns to action Saturday with a 6 p.m. contest at league-leading Muskegon.

Flint's Matt Moffat scored the game's first goal 1:27 into the second period on a power play off assists by Tyler Howells and Jake Pence. The Generals stretched the lead to 2-0 on John Mori's goal at the 15:15 mark of the same period on assists by Jamie Schaafsma and Justin Hill.

Matt McIlvane then scored Bloomington's goal 19 seconds later off assists by Mike Liambas and Zac Pearson. Carroll later tied the contest with 1:43 gone in the third period on assists by Chase Watson and Jon Booras.

Flint took a 3-2 advantage on Pascal Rheaume's power play score on assists by Brandon Gentile and Moffat with 12:31 remaining. The Generals added another goal by Alec Kirschner on a short-handed effort with an assist to Nathan Ward for a two-goal advantage midway through the third period.

Jason Lepine scored back-to-back goals to draw the PrairieThunder even with 50 seconds left in regulation. Lepine's first goal at the 9:04 mark was assisted by Billy Bagron. The second one had assists by Watson and Booras.

Carroll tapped home the game-winner in overtime off assists by Craig Macdonald and Booras.

Bloomington owned a 43-32 advantage in shots and was 1 for 8 on the power play. Flint was 1 for 6 on the power play. Sebastian Dahm picked up his first victory in net for Bloomington, stopping 28 of 32 shots. Rob Nolan took the loss in net for the Generals with 38 stops on 43 shots.
