Greenville Drive News Release

Greenville, SC - With Opening Day less than 90 days away, the Greenville Drive want their fans to catch that 'baseball fever.' And on Wednesday, January 27th, they'll have that chance as the Drive are hosting a Hot Stove Event at the LivN Nsidout Wellness Complex in Simpsonville, with free admittance.

From 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM, fans will be able to interact with the Drive and Boston Red Sox management, and current Red Sox top prospects. Boston Red Sox Director of Player Development, Mike Hazen, and new Drive manager Billy McMillon will field questions from fans and the press in an open and informal forum that will be followed by photos and autographs with Drive alumni and Red Sox prospects -Josh Reddick, Jeremy Kehrt and Zach Gentile, and 2009 draft pick and former Mauldin High School standout Madison Younginer.

Drive Co-Owner and President, Craig Brown, commented on the Hot Stove Event saying, "This event will be a one of a kind experience for our fans as they'll get the latest in Red Sox happenings on a first hand basis from Director of Player Development, Mike Hazen, including some insight into Boston's top prospects who will likely populate the Drive roster for the 2010 season. We will also get to formerly introduce Billy McMillon into his new role as the Drive's manager, after serving as the team's hitting coach the previous two seasons." Brown added, "This event will be special as it will also give our fans the opportunity to reconnect with Josh Reddick, who made his major league debut last season, Zach Gentile and Jeremy Kehrt, as well as meet one of the Red Sox 2009 draft picks and local talent, Madison Younginer."

As an added feature to the event, there will be inflatable games and bounce houses for the younger fans in attendance, as well as the Drive's lovable, Reedy Rip'It. In addition, members of the LivN Nsidout staff will be highlighting some of their services, as well as giving tours of the facility, the Upstate's premier sport and wellness complex.

"We are truly excited to host such a special event for one of the Upstate's finest organizations, the Greenville Drive," noted Todd Littleton, Founder and General Manager of LivN Nsidout Wellness Complex.

"We also invite the community to come and see our multi-faceted complex, which includes a premium health club, all-natural restaurant, sports training gym, WiFi lounge, conference center, and even a movie cinema!"

If that wasn't enough, Boston Red Sox and Greenville Drive memorabilia, including unique fan experiences, will be part of a silent auction with all proceeds going to Drive Charities. Memorabilia items, some contributed by the Red Sox, include an autographed JD Drew bat, an autographed Tim Wakefield baseball, and autographed photos of Jonathan Papelbon and Mike Lowell.

"We are excited to have this year's event at the LivN Nsidout Wellness Complex, as this is a great opportunity for our fans to get an early look at what's in store for the 2010 season, and catch up with Red Sox prospects through an autograph and photo session," stated Drive General Manager Mike deMaine. "We will also be auctioning off some great items from the Red Sox, as well as some special Drive ballpark experiences that fans will not be able to get anywhere else - with all of the proceeds going to worthy causes."

Opening Day at Fluor Field is schedule for Thursday, April 8th. Season ticket plans, luxury accommodations, and group outings for the 2010 season are currently on sale and can be ordered by calling the Drive at (864) 240-4500.
