Richmond Revolution News Release

RICHMOND, VA.: The Richmond Revolution announced today that they have broken the 2,000 Season Ticket holder mark for their inaugural season in 2010. With over 50% capacity achieved for the Arthur Ashe Center there are now less than 2,000 seats available for the season. Individual tickets are not yet on sale, but will be by the middle of February. "It's a strong indication of the success of our innovative professional sports business model," said Steve Burton, team owner and SportsQuest CEO, "we have already reached numbers higher than we expected this season and have two months left before the first home game on March 13th."

Football fans from all over the Richmond metro area, as well as surrounding communities havebeen flooding the SportsQuest membership center with calls and visits requesting season tickets. Many of the current season ticket holders cite the presence of local athletes such as Rodney Landers of JMU, Lawrence "the Law" Lewis of Virginia Tech, Stephen Cason of William & Mary and Sherman "the Tank" Logan of the University of Richmond, as one of the reasons they were interested in joining the team this year. In addition to over 30 players with local ties, the local coaching staff has made it a point to recruit and focus on the region. "This area is rich in talent and the best players in the state want to play for the team they feel provides them with the best opportunity to advance their career," stated Head Coach Steve Criswell, he added, "in the end, good players want to play with other good players, and that's what we've got here."

Individual season ticket holders and families are supporting the team in high numbers. Importantly, the Revolution is rapidly adding sponsors that range from local businesses to national sports partners. Again, local ownership and an innovative business model appears to be the key to the team's success. "We've been overwhelmed by the community's interest in SportsQuest, and SportsQuest's first professional sports team," said Revolution General Manager Phil Evans. "We knew the Revolution would be well received, but the support has exceeded our expectations," Evans added, "beginning with our first home game on March 13th, we're going to have seven 'events' at the Arthur Ashe Athletic Center that will blow people away," Join the Revolution today!

The new team website was also unveiled at www.richmondrevolution.com. Content includes a player blog by DB Cason, a Q & A with Coach Criswell, live streaming capabilities for all games with SportsQuest Clear Channel radio partner, as well as an interactive fan zone with pictures and videos that will be follow the Revolution throughout training camp and the regular season.

The Revolution training camp will begin on February 20th, two weeks before their first road game at Bloomington, on March 6th. The team will be hosting a season Kickoff party in March where fans will be able to meet the team, pick up season tickets, and learn more about the Revolution.

Richmond Revolution is a proud member of the Indoor Football League. SportsQuest is building a 250 acre sports and family entertainment campus in Chesterfield County. SportsQuest is scheduled to break ground later this year on a professional sports facility, which will be the future home of the Richmond Revolution as well as professional basketball, hockey, and lacrosse.
