FORT MILL, S.C. - January 19, 2010 - Charlotte Knights mascot Homer the Dragon will be appearing at the Jazz Lunch for Haiti on Sunday, January 24. The lunch will be held at McHale's On Main, located at 122 East Main Street in Rock Hill.
McHale's will donate 20% of profits from the sales day to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief. In addition, the American Red Cross will be on site to accept donations from patrons for Haiti relief.
Homer and other local celebrities will be waiting tables at McHale's. The lunch will also feature live jazz music. Photo opportunities will be available.
The Knights will play against their parent club, the Chicago White Sox, on April 1, 2010 at Knights Stadium in Fort Mill at 7 p.m. Charlotte's 2010 International League home opener is April 15 at 7:15 p.m. vs. the Gwinnett Braves.
