Falcons Sign Nikita Kashirsky To PTO Contract

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today they signed forward Nikita Kashirsky to a Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO). Kashirsky is expected to join the Falcons on Friday as they prepare to take on the Worcester Sharks on Saturday at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA.
The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Moscow, Russia made his pro debut last season with the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays helping South Carolina to a Kelly Cup Championship scoring six goals and 12 assists for 18 points in 21 post-season games. In 33 games with the Stingrays this season, he is leading the team in goals with 17, while adding 13 assists for 30 points.
Before joining the pro ranks, Kashirsky played four seasons of college hockey at Norwich University from 2005-2009 where he totaled 73 goals and 71 assists for 144 points in 110 career games. He led Norwich in goals (17), assists (17) and points (34) in 25 games during his senior season last year.
