
Kindl Joins Janik And Ritola In Detroit

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday recalled defenseman Jakub Kindl from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Kindl, 22, made his NHL debut with the Red Wings on Dec. 3 in their 4-1 loss to Edmonton. He went scoreless in two games with the parent club, showing one shot and a minus-2 rating while averaging 12:59 in ice time.
The 2009 AHL All-Star Game participant has appeared in 27 games with the Griffins this season, ranking among the team's leaders with 13 assists (2nd), 14 points (2nd among defensemen) and eight power play assists (1st).
Kindl, along with Griffins teammates Doug Janik and Mattias Ritola, will be available to play tonight when the Red Wings host the Chicago Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Fox Sports Detroit.
