WEDNESDAY NIGHT HIGHLIGHTS...top performers from Wednesday's games:

Dakota's Romel Beck scored 30 points as the Dakota Wizards inched by the Stampede to win 117-114. With five players in double digits, the Wizards were led by Beck's 30 points and Jimmy Binnie with 18 points.

The Stampede had six players score in double digits including Sundiata Gains coming off the bench to score 29 points and starter Anthony Tolliver, who notched a 20-point, 17-rebound double-double. Bryson McKenzie also recorded a double-double for Idaho with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The 66ers were led by Mustafa Shakur with 26 points and Cecil Brown with 19. Byron Mullens, on assignment from the Oklahoma City Thunder, had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds on the night.

Dwayne Jones and Curtis Jerrells both had double-doubles for the Toros, scoring 20 and 17 points, respectively, and both grabbing 11 rebounds. Lewis Clinch added 19 points and three rebounds for the Toros.

D-FENDERS ACQUIRE LOS ANGELES NATIVE, GABE PRUITT

The Los Angeles D-Fenders announced that Gabe Pruitt, who was waived in November due to injury, is healthy and able to play. In an effort to make room for Pruitt on the roster, the D-Fenders have waived shooting guard, Charlie Parker. Pruitt, a point guard from USC attended the 2009 D-Fenders training camp as an allocation player. The Los Angeles native finished his three year career with the Trojans ranked 27th all-time in scoring with 1,102 points. Pruitt was drafted in 2007 by the Boston Celtics and was assigned to Boston's NBA D-League affiliate during the 2007-08 season. He was waived by the Celtics during the summer of 2009 before joining the New York Knicks for the 2009 pre-season.

JAM ACQUIRES JOHN WILLIAMS

The Bakersfield Jam has announced the acquisition of John Williams, a former All-Region First Teamer from Bryant University who also stood out for head coach Will Voigt's Vermont Frost Heaves last season. Williams graduated from Bryant University in 2006, after scoring over 20 ppg and shooting over 44% from three-point range in back-to-back seasons. Following his senior season, he was honored as Co-Player of the Year in the Northeast-10 Conference.

To make room for Williams on the roster, the Jam released guard Akeem Wright. In two games for the Jam, Wright averaged 4 points and 2.5 rebounds in 14 minutes.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

19 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 10 NBA games last night, four as starters.

Starting for the Houston Rockets, Aaron Brooks scored 22 points and dished five assists.

Brandon Bass exploded off the bench to score 17 points in 18 minutes of play for the Orlando Magic. Matt Barnes added 12.

Minnesota's Ramon Sessions scored 16 points, registering 25 minutes of play for the Timberwolves.

As a starter for Indiana, Dahntay Jones notched 16 points for the Pacers.

Detroit's Will Bynum tallied 10 points and dished seven assists for the Pistons.
