The Stampede (10-2-4) will play their first ever Thanksgiving night home game this Thursday when Sioux City comes to town at 7:05 PM. It is also $1 beer night! Fans 21 and older can enjoy 10-ounce cups of Bud Light, Coors Light or Miller Light for just $1! It's the only game of the week for the Herd and will also mark the final time during the regular season the Stampede will host Sioux City. The Herd are 2-0-1 against the Muskies so far this year.The Stampede went 1-1-1 last week. Last Tuesday, the Stampede rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to force overtime against Sioux City, but fell in a shootout 4-3. On Friday, the Stampede blanked the Youngstown Phantoms 3-0 behind Clay Witt's 30-save performance. Matt Farris, Mike Voran and Sam Coatta all scored in the win for the Herd. On Saturday, the Stampede fell 6-1 in Omaha to the first place Lancers. It was the first time in nine games the Stampede did not earn at least a point. Sam Coatta had the only goal for the Herd who led 1-0 after one period.
SCORE ONE FOR LIFE BLOOD DRIVE SET FOR TUESDAY
The 8th annual "Score One For Life" Blood Drive will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) from 7 AM to 1 PM at the Avera McKennan Fitness Center and again from 3 PM to 6 PM from Cold Stone Creamery.
Every patron who signs up at either session will receive two (2) Stampede tickets to an upcoming game, a certificate for a free Cold Stone "LOVE IT ORIGINAL" ice cream treat and a FREE "3-Day" Workout Pass to the Avera McKennan Fitness Center. Those attending the afternoon session at Cold Stone Creamery will also receive a FREE slice of cake!

Holmstrom Commits to UMass-Lowell
The Stampede announced today that forward Josh Holmstrom has committed to the University of Massachusetts-Lowell for the 2010-11 season. He becomes the 12th Stampede player to commit to a Division I program this season.
The Colorado Springs, CO native is in his second season with the Herd and will join current Stampede teammate Chad Ruhwedel at UMass-Lowell. Josh's older brother, Ben, is a former captain of the Stampede and is currently a captain in his senior year at UMass-Lowell.
"CREATE OUR JERSEY" CONTEST DEADLINE THIS SATURDAY
Fans still have until 5 PM this Saturday, November 28th to enter the "Create Our Jersey Contest." For the first time in franchise history, fans can design the Stampede's official 3rd jersey that will be worn during select games this season. To enter, simply visit www.sfstampede.com or Sioux Falls Ford. All entries must be postmarked or received at Sioux Falls Ford (4101 West 41st Street) by 5 PM this Saturday.
Three (3) finalists will be selected by a panel of judges and have their jersey's displayed on the Stampede's website. Fans will then have the opportunity to vote and select the winning design! This will take place December 2nd-9th. The Stampede will announce the winning design on Thursday, December 10th.
SEXTON TEARING UP ECHL
Former Stampede forward Dan Sexton (2006-07) is tearing up the ECHL with the Bakersfield Condors. Sexton posted nine points (5g, 4a) in three wins for the Condors over the weekend. On Friday, he posted three assists in a 6-2 thumping of the Alaska Aces. On Saturday, he recorded his first professional hat trick in a 7-4 win over the Aces. He even received his first large sombrero, click here for the details! He ended the weekend with two goals and an assist in a 4-2 win over Alaska on Sunday, completing the three-game sweep.
Sexton is the Condors leading scorer and now ranks fourth overall in ECHL scoring with 26 points (13g, 13a) in 18 games. Sexton's teammate and former Herd defenseman Stu Bickel (2006-07) has nine assists and is a plus-6 in 18 games with the Condors who sit in first place in the Pacific Division. The Condors are the ECHL affiliate of the Anaheim Ducks.
CONNOLLY HELPS LEAD BULLDOGS TO SWEEP OF GOPHERS
Former Stampede forward Jack Connolly (2007-08) recorded two goals for the UMD Bulldogs on Friday in their 4-3 overtime win over Minnesota. On Saturday, Connolly scored again to help lead the Bulldogs to a 3-2 win and a series sweep at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.
Connolly currently leads all NCAA players in scoring with 21 points (10g, 11a) in 14 games. The Bulldogs are 9-4-1 overall to start the season and tied for first place in the WCHA.
