THIS CAB'S FOR HIRE: Goaltender Cab Morris spearheaded the Ice to a pair of big division wins over Cedar Rapids and Chicago this past week. Morris stopped 31 shots in regulation and overtime and all four RoughRiders' shootout attempts in a 3-2 shootout victory over Cedar Rapids on Wednesday. His Saturday night encore was his second shutout of the season as he stopped 26 shots in a 4-0 blanking of Chicago. The first-year USHL goaltender is now 6-2-0 on the year with the league's best save percentage (.931) and second best GAA (1.85).

WEARING "CAPS": Former Ice defenseman John Carlson made his NHL debut with the Washington Capitals over the weekend as he suited up for games against Montreal and Toronto. The 19-year-old blueliner went scoreless in his weekend debut after being called up from Hershey (AHL) where he recorded ten points (G, 9A) in 17 games. Carlson was an all-star defenseman for Indiana in 2007-08 where he posted 43 points (12G, 31A) and 72 penalty minutes in 59 games.

EAST SUPREMACY: The first two months of the season has seen the Ice dominate their partners in the USHL's East Division. Indiana is 7-1-0 against their Eastern foes and has outscored their counterparts 29-11 in those eight contests.

ICE HALLOO: John Parker handed out three assists and was a (+3) plus/minus in Saturday's win over Chicago....Max Cook notched the team's second shorthanded goal of the year in Saturday's victory...Bryon Paulazzo leads the Ice with a (+12) plus/minus and is tied for fourth overall in the USHL...Anthony Bitetto leads all league d-men with two game-winning goals...Nic Dowd has six points (2G, 4A) in his last four games...Antti Roppo has four goals in his last four contests.

TEAM HOLLER: The Ice is first in the USHL on the penalty kill (58/68, 85.3%).... Indy is 7-0-0 when outshooting their opponent...The Ice is 6-1-0 at home.

ALUMNI PARADE: Mike Gurtler-Mercyhurst (2006-07) became the 7th player in NCAA history to score three shorthanded goals in a game as he accomplished that feat in a 5-1 victory over Holy Cross over the weekend...Garrett Roe-St. Cloud (2004-07) picked up a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win over Wisconsin on Friday...Aaron Bendickson-Wisconsin (2005-06) handed out two assists in a 4-1 victory over St. Cloud on Saturday.
