Austin, TX - The Austin Toros will travel to South Padre Island today to take on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for a preseason exhibition game this Saturday, November 21 at 7:00p.m. The game takes place at the South Padre Island Convention Center as part of the Vipers' Beach Bash.
The Toros waived center Roderick Riley and guard Jason Parker earlier this week due to injury. Fred Gibson, D'Mond Grismore, and Ira Brown were also released from the 2009 training camp. The roster now stands at 12.
The Toros will see the RGV Vipers again for the season opener on Friday, November 27th at 7:30p.m. at the Austin Convention Center. Tickets are available now by calling the Toros office at (512) 236-8333 or visiting austintoros.com.
