Milwaukee Wave News Release
MILWAUKEE (Nov. 16, 2009) - Support the Why Hunger food drive and earn half-price Milwaukee Wave tickets by visiting Brookfield Square on the final shopping weekend before Christmas, Dec. 19-20.
Wave players will be present throughout the day each day near Santa Claus. You'll be able to get autographs and photos with players from Wisconsin's only professional soccer team. Place a non-perishable food item in the Why Hunger barrels next to our location and you'll receive a voucher redeemable for buy-one-get-one-free Wave tickets, limit 4 total tickets.
Children who visit Santa will be seen on the online Santa Cam, providing loved ones far away the opportunity to experience the excitement of a child they know on Santa's lap. The Wave proudly join Kapco Metal Stamping and Uptown Motors as a partner of Santa Cam.
Look for Wave players Troy Dusosky and Tenzin Rampa in a promotional commercial running during 12 News This Morning during November and December.
The Wave begin their season at Monterrey Nov. 22, and play at Rockford Nov. 27 before the home opener Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. against Monterrey. The Dec. 6 game features the annual Teddy Bear Toss, where fans donate a stuffed animal to local charities by tossing it onto the field when the Wave score their first goal.
