The Knighthawks will begin making bears on Saturday, November 21st at the Build-A-Bear Workshop store location at 443 Eastview Mall from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Steve Toll and Shawn Williams will usher in the Knighthawks appearance from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Other players visiting the store that day include Pat O'Toole, Joe Walters, Peter Jacobs, Andrew Potter, Craig Point, Bobby McBride, Mac Allen, Sid Smith, and Shawn and Scott Evans. Check knighthawks.net for a complete schedule of players and times.

"The Knighthawks organization and its players look forward to the special event and raising money for a charity that supports local children and their families," said Knighthawks Vice President of Communications Craig Rybczynski. "We would also like to thank Build-A-Bear Workshop for their support and cooperation."

Fans can bid on the individually autographed creations at a silent auction at the Knighthawks-Edmonton Rush 7:35 p.m. game at The Blue Cross Arena. Build-A-Bear Workshop will also donate a bear signed by the entire team to help with the charitable event. The Teddy Bear Auction has raised nearly $7,000 since its inception in 2007.

"CURE Childhood Cancer Association is excited to continue its partnership with the Rochester Knighthawks for a fourth season," said CURE Executive Director Brian Wirth. "Community support is vital for CURE to continue improving the lives of families dealing with childhood cancer and other blood disorders. We look forward to the Teddy Bear Auction and future events with the Knighthawks players, dance team and mascots."

The Knighthawks will also participate in future fundraising events for CURE this season, including the Fourth Annual "Tip-A-Knighthawk" event. That evening, Knighthawks players, dance team members and mascots collect tips for CURE. The festivities include a Wii bowling challenge against the players, autograph sessions and a raffle featuring donations from local businesses and jerseys from the Amerks, Knighthawks, and other National Lacrosse League and American Hockey League teams. The Knighthawks will announce the dates of the other fundraising ventures in the coming weeks.

The mission of CURE Childhood Cancer Association is to improve the lives of families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorders by providing emotional, educational and financial assistance.
