
Pink in the Rink raises $47,850 for cancer awareness at St. Luke's, Susan G Komen

The Sioux City Musketeers have raised a gross total of $47,850 during the second annual "Pink in the Rink" event at the Tyson Event Center. Proceeds will go toward breast cancer awareness and education at St. Luke's Imaging and Breast Screening Center and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Siouxland Affiliate.
Nearly 3,200 Siouxlanders attended the event in which $3 of every ticket sold went toward the fight against breast cancer. An additional $22,300 was raised during an auction following the game of pink game jerseys, referee sweaters and more. T-shirts, pink ducks and other items were also sold as part of "Pink in the Rink" night.
"Pink in the Rink" was sponsored by the Sioux City Musketeers, Clear Channel Radio, KCAU TV, The Sioux City Journal, Absolute Screen Art, Siouxland OB/GYN, The Rejuvenation Centre, Soo Tractor Sweep Rake, Delta Sigma Phi, St. Luke's Home Care, Blue Bunny and Hy-Vee.
