Brent Sapergia To Temporarily Replace Ron Handy As Head Coach

Lafayette, LA. October 27, 2009. The Louisiana IceGators announced that Brent Sapergia will temporarily replace Ron Handy as head coach.
Handy will start to concentrate on community relations and off ice operations. Brent Sapergia, previously the General Manager/President of the Louisiana IceGators, will step behind the bench in an effort to spark this talented and hard working group of guys. It may seem ambitious for and 0-3 team to still be talking about a championship, but every player and fan is dead set on one. It's a 56 game season and for the IceGators it starts Friday. The Louisiana IceGators will have a second chance to beat the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Friday, October 30th. The game starts at 7:05 pm in Blackham Coliseum.
